I made these masks as a part of a workshop I facilitated on a festival in Somerset, July 2024. I encouraged all participants to explore materials beyond the ones provided and find what spoke to them in the surrounding environment.
Other masks created during the workshop.
In Shetland, my friends and I participated in a beach cleaning event, Da Voar Redd Up. With the found materials, we made creations that ended up in the local news paper.

I made over 40 sauna bench towels out of discarded cotton and linen fabrics. I also made a logo and two animated versions of it that work with the sauna theme.

Process based on playing and experimenting -->
This project started during a
hike where I asked my
friends to all pick up a few
pebbles they were drawn to.
At home, I instructed everyone to paint their favourite rocks and collectively we gauged the tactile nature of these rocks. Based on these feelings, we wrote out a little oracle-card-like blurb for each of them.
